WFMU is holding a 24-hour Marathon: Tues Nov 17th, 7pm - Wed Nov 18th, 7pm. We're setting aside our pride to interrupt our programming for 24 hours this Fall, so we can make it through the winter months. Our coffers are empty thanks to the combined evil forces of the recession, and falling over $100,000 short of our March Marathon goal. We hope you can help us out with a year-end donation! Check out our new fall swag and make a pledge right here or by using the brochure that is soon to arrive in your mailbox.
Coming to the Brother Lucy Show with Kurt Gottschalk, Sunday night November 8th at midnight: composer and performer Joan La Barbara has been one of the most innovative experimenters in vocal sound art over the last two decades. Her work has covered theater, choral composition and interactive technology, and she has collaborated with Judy Chicago, Bruce Nauman, Steve Reich and Jim Hall. As a part of the Performa festival in New York in November, she will perform on the Futurist "intonarumori" noise machine, as well as presenting her piece "October Music: Star Showers and Extraterrestrials."
Now that the Cash for Clunkers program is but a distant memory, you can use your old car in the way it was intended - to benefit WFMU! WFMU is now accepting donations of used vehicles from any state in the U.S. and in any state of disrepair. It’s a great way to help your favorite freeform radio station, get a tax write-off for yourself, and most importantly, get that junker off your front lawn. Call 1-877-411-DONATE (1-877-411-3662) to arrange for vehicle pick-up (it’s free).

The WFMU time is now 3:27pm EST on Sunday.
